Through the passion of our team, the Los Angeles Zoo is leading the way in saving wildlife and connecting Angelenos to the natural world by providing exemplary animal care, delivering distinctive and diverse learning opportunities, and creating unforgettable experiences.

The Special Needs Outreach program was specifically created to connect the Zoo with members of the community who cannot easily visit and enjoy the Los Angeles Zoo in person.
Special Needs Outreach visits:
- Special needs classrooms
- Acute care centers
- Adult day centers
- Senior homes
- Metropolitan State Hospital
- Convalescent homes
- Memory care units
- And many more!
Betty White’s Zoo Pals is a special grant-funded program for Title I schools that provides Kindergarten-5th grade teachers and their students with Free programming and supplies for their students.
